Heuking advises HL Display on acquisition of Oechsle and Werba

A team led by Heuking partners Dr. Pär Johansson and Dr. Philipp Jansen, both from the Cologne office, provided legal advice to HL Display on its first two acquisitions in Germany.

HL Display, a global provider of in-store merchandising and communication solutions, has acquired the traditional display companies Oechsle Display Systeme and its sister company werba print & display. With the purchases, HL Display aims to expand its presence in Germany and strengthen its position as a provider of in-store solutions for food retailers in Europe.

Oechsle Display Systeme, headquartered in Leipheim, Bavaria, was founded in 1956 and employs around 160 people. It offers a range of solutions for shelf management, price labeling and sales promotion. Its sister company werba print & display, headquartered in Bühl, Baden Wurttemberg, employs 140 employees and develops customized display solutions made of materials such as plastic as well as metal and acts as a print service provider for food retail as well as non-food retail and brand suppliers.

HL Display employs over 1,100 people worldwide. HL Display is a subsidiary of Ratos, a Swedish business group listed on Nasdaq Stockholm.
