Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises domainFactory shareholders on sale to Host Europe
Munich-based domain provider domainFactory GmbH was acquired by Host Europe Group, one of Europe's leading hosting providers. A team led by Dr. Ulrich Jork and Dr. Michael Lauterbach, Partners at commercial law firm Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek's Munich office, comprehensively advised the founding shareholders of domainFactory on the deal. The acquisition price was not disclosed.
domainFactory GmbH has 173,000 customers and administers 1.1 million domains, particularly in the market of medium-sized companies. With the acquisition, host Europe Group now administers two million domains of a total of 400,000 customers. The company, based in Uxbridge, England, is Europe's largest hosting provider in private ownership. It had recently acquired the webhosting subsidiary of Telefónica, TOS.
