Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises LPKF AG on Acquisition
With the support of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek's M&A experts, LPKF Laser & Electronics AG concluded a purchasing agreement to acquire the external shares in LPKF Motion & Control GmbH. The company, specializing in the production of laser systems for micro-material processing, now holds 100% of the subsidiary's shares. At its Suhl premises, LPKF Motion & Control GmbH develops and manufactures laser scribers for the production of solar cells. Jointly with its 100% subsidiary LPKF SolarQuipment GmbH, the company is a major worldwide supplier of photovoltaic systems solutions. The acquisition allows LPKF AG to strengthen this segment in financial and operational terms.
LPKF Laser & Electronics AG is headquartered at Garbsen near Hanover. In 2010, LPKF boosted its group revenue by 60% to over EUR 81 million. The acquisition of Motion & Control GmbH and of additional subsidiaries is intended to further advance the growth in different business segments and to enable the company to rapidly implement strategic decisions.
