Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek advises Private Assets group companies on the acquisition of production facilities of Caterpillar engines at the Kiel site

A team composed of members from several offices, led by Private Equity lawyer Dr. Andreas Lenz, Partner at the Cologne office, advised companies of Hamburg-based Private Assets group on the acquisition of parts of the production facilities of Caterpillar Engines and Caterpillar Castings at the Kiel site.

The acquisition includes foundry machinery, part of the mechanical processing equipment, and the valve manufacturing equipment for medium-speed large engines. As part of the transaction, some 220 employees are expected to transfer to the buyers. Private Assets group is using the acquisition to selectively expand its industrial portfolio.

Headed by Hamburg-based Private Assets AG, Private Assets group specializes in strategic investments in medium-sized companies.

From its Cologne, Hamburg, and Düsseldorf offices, Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek comprehensively advised the buyers in all phases of the process.
