Heuking supports Photonics Systems Group in acquisition of Proaut Technology GmbH

Dr. Hermann Ali Hinderer and a team of legal professionals comprehensively advised Photonics Systems Group on the acquisition of Proaut Technology GmbH. The advice also included due diligence coordination in Singapore.

The merger is expected to accelerate the growth of both companies in the coming years and to enable synergies in sales, service, and engineering.

Photonics Systems Group, market leader for laser micromaterial processing, serves customers in the core markets of Europe, the U.S., and Asia. The group employs more than 120 people worldwide and is aiming for organic growth over the next few years.

Proaut is a solution provider for semiconductor machinery that specializes among others in process automation for wafer and panel production. The company expects the merger to complement its product and service portfolio and to broaden its international customer base.

Since 1999, CGS funds have been investing in platform companies in Europe’s German-speaking countries and making add-on acquisitions worldwide.
