Start-ups taking off with Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek
115 notepads, 15 liters of coffee, 5 presentations – some 100 participants attended the events held during Start-up Week (May 5 - 12, 2017) at the offices of Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek in Düsseldorf on May 8 and 9, 2017. They were welcomed by the law firm’s founder Dr. Wolfgang Kühn, who reported on his own start-up and encouraged the start-up entrepreneurs to stay the course. In several workshops, entitled “Operating online in legal compliance,” "Legal forms for your business," "How to protect your ideas," "Control tax pitfalls," and "Acting correctly as an employer," the young founders were obtaining valuable information from the firm’s lawyers.
"The two days were a resounding success. We were able to pass on lots of expertise and practical tips to the participants for their start-ups," said Dr. Kirsten Thiergart, who organized the event at Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek. "Many young entrepreneurs were well prepared and will hopefully implement their projects with the assistance of the impulses we gave them." Even beyond Start-up Week, Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek offers young entrepreneurs regularly free consultation in the offices of STARTPLATZ in Düsseldorf port on every first and third Wednesday of the month from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Dr. Thiergart is the contact person who is leading the project.
Start-up Week Düsseldorf is being held for the second time. The event offers start-ups throughout the city the opportunity to make new contacts and to further develop their business ideas.
