Wealthcap acquires office buildings in Hamburg and Munich with Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek
Wealthcap has acquired two office buildings at sites with future potential. A team led Hamburg-based partner Dr. Sönke Görgens advised the client comprehensively on legal and tax-related issues. Wealthcap acquired the expansion of Nordex headquarters in Hamburg, referred to as “Nordex Forum II,” and “Das Leuchtenberg” in Munich. The two properties are to be contributed to the new Immobilien Deutschland 41 fund, with Wealthcap continuing its strategy of focusing on German growth cities.
The Nordex Forum II transaction is a forward deal that had been concluded in May 2017 and has now been closed following completion of building construction. Nordex SE will use the building in northern Hamburg’s Langenhorn district for the next 20 years.
“Das Leuchtenberg” is an office building at a highly desirable location in Munich that had been completely renovated in 2017/2018. The property features a total rental area of about 29,500 square meters. At 60% of this space, the state capital of Munich is the main tenant.
Wealthcap is one of Germany’s leading real asset and investment managers and manages assets worth around EUR 10 billion. The new Immobilien Deutschland 41 fund will start selling following the successful placement of its predecessor. The German portfolio is again focusing on cities of the future.
